If you are joining friends and family for Easter, remember that of all the things you can bring to share with them, the greatest is your love—not just personal love, but the love of God’s Presence within you. It’s a universal love that joins everyone and everything together in absolute unity.
In the world of ego, one person’s ego can do something better than another person’s ego. But in the world of real spirituality, God can do anything better than anyone. If you can accept that the All-knowing Mind of God can do better than you, then let go of your ego and let God run your life.
Let God know that you understand that God’s Presence within you knows what is best for you—in both your short term and long term needs—and that you are ready and willing to cooperate with God’s All-knowingness for your life. Do this by daily giving up your personal will to God’s will, and by being receptive to God’s guidance through daily meditation.
One of the greatest of all truths is that every blessing in life comes from God—and God alone. The personal ego will try to take credit, but everything good we experience in life is always due to the Grace or Love of God. Like it says in a famous old hymn, “Praise God from whom all blessings flow!”
The secret to having a successful life is to experience a lot more ups in life than downs. To do this, you have to be a lot more up yourself! That means being as high up in consciousness as you can be, so you can operate on a higher level. A daily practice of meditation can help you achieve that.
Expectations are a big part of life. Unfortunately, your ego usually expects too much or too little. To better know what to expect, get your ego out of the way and—through daily meditation—get as close to God’s Presence as possible. For, in truth, only God knows what you can expect.
