The closer you are to the Consciousness of God at the innermost center of your mind, the closer you are to having the means for improving your life. Why? Because the closer you are to God Consciousness within yourself, the more God’s attributes of wisdom, creativity, will, focus, healing, and love can guide you.
If you are able-bodied, don’t look to others for handouts. Join forces with God’s Presence within yourself, and let God guide you in making your way in this world in partnership with God. You can trust that God will make you aware of opportunities that your ego has no idea are even available.
What are you choosing for your long-term future? If you are uncertain about that, it is likely that your ego is in control of choosing your future. Give up that control to God’s Presence within you, and let the All-Knowing Mind of God choose a future for you that will satisfy and fulfill your soul.
The best leaders are those produced by God’s Presence within them—inspiring them, creating through them, and guiding them for the good of all. Likewise, the best spiritual leaders are those who set aside their egos, giving themselves up to the leadership of God, and teaching others to do the same.
Today’s world is so noisy that sometimes you can’t even hear yourself think! But realize that even thought distracts you from your true self. Only when the noise of your ego is set aside can you become aware of your soul’s oneness with God, which transforms your consciousness and improves your life.
Real independence is a spiritual state of being, where your life is under the individual control of your own soul and its purpose for living this life. That is why the ego needs to be set aside daily, because it allows control over your life to come from the outside rather than the inside.
One of the prime gifts you receive as you draw closer to God’s Presence is adaptability. And what a gift that is in a world that is changing so rapidly! By giving up the ego daily and taking time to meditate on God’s Presence, you can better draw upon God’s intuitive direction to adapt to changes.
