Description
Spiritualizing New Year’s Resolutions: No matter what the year or what the subject, Dr. Masters’ wisdom for daily living is just as relevant for life today as it was when it was first delivered. In this lecture, Dr. Masters explains why the start of a new year provides you with a divine opportunity to begin something new.
The first of every new year is an ideal time for you to begin again—to start something new or to complete some unfinished business. The reason it is an ideal time is because there is a very real energy of new beginnings at the start of every new year, and you can ride that energy wave, adding extra power to anything you start—including acting on any new year’s resolutions you might have made. To really be successful with your resolutions, however, you must recognize that it is the God Power within you that makes it possible for you to follow through with what you have resolved to do. In recognizing God’s Presence as the real power in your life—and meditating on that Divine Presence—you gain access to the Divine Knowledge and Wisdom you need to improve your life.
Here are eight Spiritual New Year’s Resolutions that Dr. Masters recommends:
- Meditation: I resolve to meditate at least once daily on the Divine Presence within me.
- Prayer: I resolve to pray in an affirmative manner that God within me knows my needs and is supplying me according to my soul’s purpose at this point in my life.
- Visualization: I resolve to visualize God’s Presence as Light at the center of my mind at least once daily.
- Receiving: I resolve that whatever good I receive, I immediately credit God as the source of my good.
- Guidance: I resolve that I will look into myself for God’s Presence to be my guiding counselor.
- Intuition: I resolve to listen more to the promptings of my God-guided intuition than to my personal intellect in all of my decision making.
- Acknowledgement: I resolve that I totally acknowledge that God is my ultimate and absolute source for love, income, wellness, inner peace, and happiness in my life.
- Commitment: I resolve to make my inner relationship to God—and the knowing of God’s Presence within me—the number one priority in my life.
