Rev. Dr. Damali Curry has received acclaim for her public speaking abilities, which she asserts have been a long time in the making. She made her public speaking debut, as many speakers do, at her church as a little girl. During her high school years, she won an impromptu speaking contest and represented the school in a statewide competition. One could infer that public speaking was a hobby of hers.
Throughout her career, Damali was placed in leadership roles because of her excellent communication abilities. She started a small business in 2002, during which time she heightened her entrepreneurial public speaking skills and became a well-sought-after speaker at a variety of events and conferences.
Now a seasoned keynote speaker, moderator, and panelist, Damali has spoken for a diverse range of organizations, including the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprising Women, the former International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment, and many others. Previously, Damali’s talks focused on career and professional development, small business, and marketing; now, she is expanding her range to engage audiences on the metaphysical and spiritual path that led her not only to success, but also to healing her own life.
Damali, a longtime spiritual seeker, was always curious about spiritual matters. At her baptismal, she was presented with a Bible. She still possesses that Bible, and although it has become a sacred possession of hers, she has broadened her traditional Christian roots to include the study of higher consciousness, meditation, and New Thought ministry philosophies.
In spring 2019, she launched her New Thought ministry as a speaker at the International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM) Convention and Graduation in Sedona, Arizona, where she lectured on “Metaphysical Solutions for the American High School Dropout Epidemic.”
Damali holds both traditional academic and non-academic religious degrees. She is an ordained minister, affiliated with IMM, and earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Metaphysical Science from the University of Metaphysics. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D., specializing in Holistic Life Coaching from the University of Sedona.
As a lifetime learner, Damali holds numerous coaching certifications and has studied various healing arts modalities, including hypnosis and Reiki. Her latest honors include being part of the inaugural class for Green Women Leadership Training – an innovative leadership program provided through the Colorado-based non-profit Healthy Women Healthy Earth. The program’s philosophy is that the world needs women to be fully engaged in finding solutions to the many challenges that our planet, our nation, and our communities are facing.
Damali currently works full time in the healthcare industry. She knows her life purpose is to help people in meaningful ways, and that her most transformative work is creative and spiritual in nature. As a result, she commits her free time to creating content for the books, lectures, and workshops she offers as a spiritual teacher.
Damali is based in Tennessee and is always open to exploring opportunities to teach and share her personal messages of self-empowerment and spiritual healing.
