Owner of Moon Valley Holistic, Kathleen Macy has extensive experience through various holistic modalities in assisting and coaching others to realize their full potential in this life. Her journey began as a child, with an early, inner “knowledge,” or sense that there was more to life than what is seen with the eye and that Soul is real and knowable. Her quest to discover the “Unseeable” began in church as a child, where she sang in the choir, and discovered the presence of Divine healing and the Infinite within music, as expressed through the human voice. This led her to the study of song, as well as dance, each approached as healing art forms. She learned how to play the guitar and is an avid lover of all dance forms, believing that the human body is a third-dimensional expression of the Divine.
She also studied Massage and became a Chiropractic Assistant, learning more about the “human vehicle.” Then, she became a student in Acupuncture school, where she was introduced to the martial art, Tai Qi Chu’an. Kathleen became an enthusiastic participant, recognizing this discipline as Art, Science, and communication with one’s higher self.
Early in her professional career as a health consultant, she studied with Dr. Daniel Reeves, D.C. and learned about quantum energetics and how, if plants are prayed over, they will grow faster than those that are ignored. It then follows, “if the right thing is done, to the right body, miracles can occur!” She furthered her studies in Metaphysics through the Science of Mind and Unity teachings and is a student of meditation.
Having recently relocated to Northern Arizona, Kathleen discovered the mystery and beauty of life’s music and rhythm in a brand new way. Through gardening and the tending of a small arbor of fruit trees, she became attuned in a completely new and exciting way to the rhythm of life. With the necessary care and cultivation of her vegetable garden and fruit trees, the life-cycle became “organic” and tangible. The exigencies of the Harvest won’t wait, and life moves forward! The birth and death of living organisms have their own method of expression, as displayed during harvest and then winter dormancy. After the starkness of winter, spring brings its own special magic, and the rebirth of life makes the miraculous circle complete, something Kathleen witnessed with awe and wonder the first year back in Arizona!
A life-long learner and teacher, Kathleen is a graduate of Southern California University of Health Science, having earned a Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is also a graduate of the University of Metaphysics with a B.Msc. Degree and is preparing her work as a Master’s and Ph.D Candidate. In addition, she has experience in the corporate world, having worked at Disney, Paramount and NBC Studios as an Executive Assistant. Kathleen is a Certified Nursing Assistant, currently working with Alzheimer’s and Hospice patients and was formerly a Hospice Volunteer in Phoenix, AZ.
