Rev. Dr. “Twinkle” Marie Manning enrolled in the University of Metaphysics in 2006 and was ordained by the International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM) in 2008. She was awarded her Doctor of Divinity, D.D., through University of Sedona in 2017. She is the Senior Minister of The Church of Kineo and a retreat facilitator with Moosehead Lake Retreats in Maine. In the religious world “Twinkle” is a poet, minister, liturgist and retreat leader. In the secular world she is an award-winning television producer, development director, event planner and book publisher. She follows the personal credo of “Living Life as a Prayer” and has developed the theology of “Möbius Living as the Way of Building The Beloved Community and Healing the Loneliness that Exists in the World.”
About herself, Twinkle says: “I tend to not fit neatly into any one spiritual, secular or political box. I am not always politically correct (promise) yet I strive to always be compassionately correct (promise). I believe in gentleness and in grace. I believe our choices matter and impact us and others in seen and unseen ways. I believe there is a divine echo that whispers within every heart, and I believe that we belong to each other. I am passionate about creating solutions that create happiness and well-being for all involved. I believe that the world and our organizations would be better places if they were founded in relational equity. I believe that the spaces we are called to create together, whether in community or in our intimate relationships, need to be so safe and so sacred that they can hold all our fears along with all our joys. Here, our broken hearts are mended as they are loyally treated as sacrosanct. This is where our allegiance abides, knowing the road to peace is the way of peace and the path to prayer is the path of prayer. We covenant with each other and with that which we call Holy as we merge our hearts with our callings, loving our families and our neighbors as ourselves. This is The Beloved Community that will heal the loneliness that exists in the world.”
Twinkle leads retreats and rituals in her home and at spiritual retreat centers worldwide. She is available for Pulpit Supply at liberal congregations, as a speaker, and is sought after as a poet and liturgist. One of her greatest attributes is that of collaboration with other spiritual and religious leaders. She is known as a Gatherer and for her gift of radical hospitality.
